China Travel Part 1 (Shanghai)

We Started our journey from Melbourne to Beijing on 16 September 2017

After a long flight we reach Beijing 3:00 am at night. We arriving so late at night, that’s why we booked our taxi with a car hire company before leaving to Beijing. We paid 250 yuan. If you take taxi by your own from airport you will get much cheaper but most of the taxi driver does not speak English. If your arriving before 11:00 pm, then you can take Airport Express metro which will cost you 25 yuan per person.

After arriving Beijing airport terminal 2, we spot our driver and start our journey to our Hotel ” Spring Time hostel” in Beijing. We got our train tickets while check in.. which we booked through “China Travel Guide”. China Travel Guide has ticket delivery service Cost $5 (AUD).

Next Morning we check out from hotel and take metro to Beijing South railway station with is in Line 14. I already check some video on YouTube about  Beijing and shanghai metro system as well as about their railway station. I find a YouTube channel named “China DIY Travel – China Train Ticket Booking” very helpful.

Our Train Number G129 ( Beijing to Shanghai ) ‘G’ Trains are High Speed Bullet Trains 😀

Beijing South Railway Station is huge like a airport, This railway station is very modern and you can easily navigate because it has English sign everywhere. There are lots of restaurants in waiting area as well as in ground floor. we could not find any halal restaurant here. So we ate fish dish from “Ajisen Ramen”, Initially we thought they must have any seafood Ramen but when we enter, we find that they does not have any, they have only one fried fish option..so we eat this. But the food was really good.

We Started our journey to Shanghai….After arriving Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station we take shanghai metro to our hotel. this railway station is also huge and modern…so just follow the sign “subway” you will find the metro station.
